Pretreatment process for lignocellulose by dilute hydrochloric acid was performed and four factors including reaction temperature (θ), reaction time (t), concentration of hydrochloric acid (c), and the ratio of liquid/solid (r) were studied by method of Plackett-Burman design. Finally, the preferred pretreatment conditions are found as follows: t＝1 h，θ＝115 ℃，c＝1％ and r＝10.
